The Laser space 2 expands on the success of the Laser range of superlight tents and is the first ever lightweight tent that you can stand up in.
Weighing just over 3kg the amount of space available inside is remarkable, and the 1.76m of headroom makes it possible to change out of wet clothing in the porch whilst keeping the inner tent clean and dry. The porch is and will accomodate folding chairs and rucksacks with ample space left for cooking or accessing the inner tent. A smaller "back door" makes it possible to exit the tent in the night without crossing your partner, or can be used as a main entrance if the porch is required for storage of large items such as bikes. The use of our superlite fabrics on this model means that the flysheet seams can't be taped, but are instead covered by a pole hood (included). A major benefit of these superlite fabrics (other than the incredible low weight, obviously!) is that this huge 2 person tent has a packed size of a mere 55x20 cms.

At a mere 2.77kg the Laser Space 2 is an excellent lightweight backpacking or touring tent. Astonishingly for a tent of this weight it is 1.76m tall and offers a porch area of 3sqm.
Note: Due to the super light nature of the material used in the tents construction we are unable to factory seal the seams, in a conventional method. However they are positioned and sewn in a way that minimises water penetration and it’s possible to add further protection yourself, with seam sealer, to fully waterproof the tent. A free black pole cover (tied on) is also supplied with the Laser tents to fully waterproof the main seam, add stability, protect the zip and add extra protection to the most exposed part of the tent to UV damage.

My wife and I used this tent while cycling through Europe in summer 2011, weather was very mixed and the tent stood up to high winds and rain.
Other tourers could not believe the tent weighed in at less than 3 kg.
A good all round tent.
