My (2008 model) boots are now 18 months old (although only used at w/e's). The luxurious leather lining around the heel has cracked and come away making them a little bit uncomfortable. Also the metal buckles have pinged off but I don't use them anyway. The full length zip makes the fit around the leg better but does need some care to ensure it doesn't clog up.
They have good grip.
